Transforming an Education Initiative’s Digital Presence to Amplify Impact for Texas Students
Overview
Educate Texas, an initiative of Communities Foundation of Texas, needed a digital presence that could effectively serve three distinct audiences – educators seeking programs, policymakers needing data, and supporters wanting to make impact for Texas students. Their existing website created confusion rather than clarity, making it difficult for users to discover relevant programs, understand success stories, or find pathways to get involved. We redesigned their experience with audience-specific navigation that guides educators to program resources, provides policymakers with compelling impact data, and showcases inspiring success stories for potential supporters. The result is a comprehensive platform that amplifies Educate Texas’s mission to improve outcomes for students from disadvantaged communities while making it easy for each audience to engage meaningfully with their work.

PHASE 1
Discovery
Through stakeholder interviews and user research, we discovered that Educate Texas’s website wasn’t effectively serving its diverse audiences – educators, policymakers, and donors all had different needs but were navigating the same confusing experience. Users struggled to discover relevant programs, understand impact stories, and find clear pathways to get involved in supporting Texas students from disadvantaged communities.
